Do you know what the most important thing for growing a healthy plant is? It’s not good soil, not the right time of the year. It’s not even adequate watering or using all kinds of fancy fertilizers. It’s nothing but light. But then again, you were expecting me to say that after reading the title for the best-LED light for a 4×4 grow tent.

Of course, good soil, adequate watering, temperature, and fertilizers play a major role in making a plant grow as healthy as plant-ly possible. But none of those things are going to benefit the plant if it’s not receiving proper lighting.

This is more true for indoor cultivation. Providing the proper lighting for the plants is not an easy job. Even the best grow box for beginners might lack a proper lighting system needed for making the plant thrive. That is why choosing the best-LED light for a 4×4 to grow tent is such a necessity.

Here is our list of the best-LED light for a 4×4 grow tent

So, let’s begin!

Five Best LED Light For 4×4 Grow Tent

MARS HYDRO TSW 2000 Led Grow Light

Best LED Light For 4×4 Grow Tent

MARS HYDRO TSW 2000 Led Grow Light

Key Specifications
● Material Aluminum
● Weight: 3.5Kg
● Light fixture form: Pendant
● Input power: 150W
● Number of LEDs/piece: 342

Features:

High Reflective Hood

While most of the LED light systems you will encounter will have a simple hood design that is primarily non-reflective, the MARS Hydro LED grow light features a reflective hood design that not only maintains the intensity but increases it by well over 30%. Hence, many users consider it the best led light for 4×4 grow tent.

With the high reflective hood design, the light intensity is increased by quite a lot. This not only means that the required intensity reaches your plants sitting at the bottom, especially for a 4×4 grow tent, but also that the running costs are efficiently reduced.

With the preserved intensity that is also magnified by reflective hoods, you don’t have to turn up the light intensity to match the plant’s requirement as a small value for intensity gets magnified by over 30%

Full-spectrum

A lot of the best-LED lights for 4×4 grow tents boast that they feature full-spectrum light. You should know that achieving a whole spectrum light for an LED is quite tricky. Changing the frequency and temperature of the Light to match the full spectrum is not an easy technology to implement.

That being said, I am very confident in my statement that MARS Hydro LED grow light does feature full-spectrum lights. For an LED light system to achieve such drastic changes in temperature and light frequencies is praised.

This is as close as the best-LED light for a 4×4 grow tent can come in terms of matching with natural sunlight. With ease, you can change the temperature from 3000K to 5000K and change the frequencies from infrared 660 nm to Red 760nm.

Low energy consumption

The LED light consumes only 150 Watts of power with 342 LEDs. The number is surprisingly too low when compared to the standard HPS/CMH grow lights.

In other words, these LED lights consume only 50% of what standard grow lights do. Or if you’re a glass-half-full person, then it saves 50% more energy.

KingLED Newest 1500w LED Grow Lights with LM301B LEDs

Key Specifications
● Material: aluminum
● Mix full spectrum design
● LM301B Samsung LEDs
● Built-in hush speed mute fans

Features:

MIX Full-spectrum

This feature is what marks KingLED as the best-LED light for 4×4 grow tents. Along with its refractive concentrators, this light is suited even for beginner use and can easily be installed in any of the best grow boxes.

The MIX full spectrum ensures that your plants receive the light that most closely matches natural sunlight reaching the plants through various directions; clouds, leaves, trees, and diffusing from the shadows. It creates the most natural environment when it comes to lighting.

While it does come with controllers, the MIX full spectrum feature eliminates excessive use of controllers for light intensities and frequencies. With LEDs that produce 12 different, closely resembling wavelengths (colors) of light, your plants are going to thrive under the light shower in all stages of growth. Your eyes might not differentiate between wavelengths, but only if plants could speak would they be thanking you day-in and day-out.

Optical concentrators

If you didn’t know already, Optical concentrators are refractive concentrators that use the refractive indexes of various building materials of the product to produce a highly focused light with an intensified intensity, leading to high yields and low costs.

The use of optical concentrators eliminates the need to provide a reflective hood or anything of the sort. The beam of light that is concentrated by the refractive concentrators (which the KingLED features in 10x) is more than enough for plants of all stages to be absorbed by over 90% or more.

Durable Design

It is not just the building material that makes LED lights durable. True that LED lights do not produce a lot of heat is the good thing about them. But the fact remains that they still produce small amounts of heat nonetheless. This can become problematic considering the LEDs are in a closed compartment, with a regulated temperature, and run all day long.

This does decrease the half-lives of LEDs. Thankfully though, KingLED comes equipped with multiple high-speed mute fans and aluminum radiators that regulate the temperature precisely. The former lower high temperatures while the latter does the opposite.

MARS HYDRO TS 3000W LED Grow Light

Best LED Light For 4×4 Grow Tent

MARS HYDRO TS 3000W LED Grow Light

Key specifications
● 1016 LEDs
● Material: upgraded aluminum
● Fanless lightboard design
● Full-spectrum LED

Features:

Beginner-friendly

This best LED light for 4×4 grow tent must be the most beginner-friendly and simple we have seen on this list.

With its easy controls of light dimming for simple intensity controlling and a daisy chain function. We cannot see why you cannot master this in less than 2 hours.

With 15-lights connected in series and the main light switch that controls all LEDs in one setup, this has to be super beginner-friendly. Plus, its auto-sensing power supply works on 120VAC, 240VAC, and 277VAC, meaning you don’t have to worry about voltage fluctuations or getting a stabilizer. Everything’s under control.

Noise Free

While most brands boast about having fans and radiators for enhanced temperature control, this one does not. And it can be assumed as a blessing in disguise.

You see, the fans work fine and noiselessly for the first few months but give it some time, and the fans start making those fan noises of swishing through the air and splicing the winds. It can not be very pleasant.

For the Mars TS3000W, however, temperature regulation for the LEDs is far more simple yet very effective. It uses quickly heat dispersing aluminum that not only works wonders but makes the overall product surprisingly lightweight as well.

High yield and efficiency

With a consumption of about 450 Watts of power every 1016 LEDs and plenty of reflective areas to enhance intensity, I cannot see why it cannot become an excellent choice for commercial use.

It also features SMD LED technology to provide the maximum Par/Lumen ratio making it 25% more efficient than standard LED lights.

BESTVA Dimmable Pro2000 LED Grow Light

Best LED Light For 4×4 Grow Tent

BESTVA Dimmable Pro2000 LED Grow Light

Key specification:
● HPS, LED light source
● Shade Material: aluminum
● weight:4.35Kg
● High-efficiency Samsung diodes

Features:

High Yield

The LED light system is pretty much like other LEDs we’ve been discussing so far, only that there are some additional things we need to cover for this one. The most obvious one is that it is a very high yield—more high yield than anyone we’ve seen so far.

It consumes only 210 Watts of power every 448 pieces, which, if you haven’t noticed yet, is the highest yield we’ve seen so far. Plus, the built-in Mean Well driver makes sure to achieve high PAR output to prolong the lifespan and make sure the product is worth its money.

Full-spectrum

The grow light features LEDs and HPS (high-pressure sodium) and features technologies that make it full-spectrum.

The HPS gives light at a warmer temperature than LEDs, the standard of which is white, cold light. This means that you should be expecting to see better functionalities and performance in terms of full-spectral features compared to other best LED grow lights for a 4×4 grow tent.

Noise Free

This model is again noise-free, just like the previous one we reviewed.

The benefit of being noise-free indoors is that you don’t have to get annoyed by the constant buzzing of cooling fans in the background. But being noise-free means that it must provide an alternative for the cooling systems.

Thankfully it does. And it does so by using large aluminum plates to cover a large surface area to dissipate as much heat as possible. However, do know that in the case of noise-free designs, you should also ventilate your grow tent properly, so the dissipated heat has a route to escape. Considering its features and performance, it is the best-led light for a 4×4 grow tent.

Abriselux A1500 LED Grow Light

Best LED Light For 4×4 Grow Tent

Abriselux A1500 LED Grow Light

Key specifications:
● Material: aluminum
● Rich spectrum. Sunlight like
● 150 Wattage
● Water-resistant

Features:

Water resistance

This is the Best LED light for a 4×4 grow tent because it is water-resistant. Of course, it’s not as water-resistant as you might think. You cannot submerge it into a pool and expect it to work. But the fact that all LEDs are coated and feature anti-moisture and anti-vulcanization technologies makes it one of the best water-resisting grow lights out there.

Rich spectrum

The grow light uses a combination of SMD diodes to achieve that rich-spectrum feature everyone keeps talking about.

You can adjust the temperature from 3000K warm white to about 5000K white while the wavelength can be adjusted from 660nm deep red to around 760nm Infrared. Use the wavelength features for the bloom season and set it to some value of Red for maximum harvest gains.

Large coverage

While I am not mainly a big fan of large LEDs, they certainly can prove to be quite handy in certain situations.

The board for this system is larger than what I am used to seeing. Plus, the LEDs are larger than usual (50% larger than the standard LED size). Though it might not contribute much to wavelength or intensity, it does make sure to cover a bigger area and make sure the light spreads uniformly throughout all the plants in the grow tent.

Buying Guide

Best LED Light For 4×4 Grow Tent

Check out this buying guide if you wish to choose the best-LED light for a to grow tent.

Wattage draw:

The number one mistake amateur growers make is that wattage draw directly translates into Intensity, brightness, and quality of light. That is not true.

I use wattage to make my decisions to get a light that will distribute uniformly to the area I have. For Instance, if I am to get an HPS light (lower efficiency than LED) and I need to cover a 4×4 area, I should consider getting 1000W equipment to allow the light to distribute uniformly.

Of course, I could get equipment with lower wattage. Still, the light distribution would be wrong, and the plants in the periphery will not get enough photosynthetically active radiations (PAR), leading to stunted and uneven growth.

To determine the quality of light, I usually analyze the PAF (photosynthetically active flux) and PAR (photosynthetically active radiations) charts that the manufacturer usually provides. The higher the PAF, the better the quality of your light.

As for the brightness, it all comes down to luminance and efficiency. A more efficient LED light will be brighter than the one with low efficiency, with both of them having the same wattage draw.

Spectrum:

It is essential to learn about different spectra and how you can adjust them to achieve optimal growth.

Most of the LED grow lights today come in full-spectrum, and it is very nice to have since you can adjust the color temperature and the frequency according to what you want to yield from the plant.

Besides full spectrum, LED grow lights also feature specific spectra, the most common of which is the red/blue spectrum, and it is best to induce photosynthesis and exponential leaf growth and length growth in plants.
